A: We don't tell you where to fill up. You can fill up at any of the 2,000+ participating fuel retailers. We are the only (and by our records the largest) multi-brand refuelling rewards network in South Africa. Petro Club is not a loyalty programme but an exclusive membership programme offering instant savings on fuel. You don't have to earn loyalty points over long periods before (if you're lucky), you have enough points to barely get a single tank of fuel in a year.
A: Each vehicle issued with a Smart Tag which comes in the shape of a license disc. It should be stuck on the windshield of your vehicle ideally on top right corner, but its your vehicle so stick it anywhere on your windshield as long as the Attendant can see it and access it from the outside.
A: At the fuel station you will pay normally using the Petro Club Tag. Your discount will only reflect in the Petro Club mobile application within 30 minutes usually for each transaction. You can also see your total monthly savings in the Petro Club mobile app.
A: Fleets of any size are welcome from a minimum of 5 vehicles. Contact sales@petroclub.co.za for fleet onboarding. And with every membership, you get one complimentary Smart Tag. You can order a second Smart Tag for your second vehicle for a R75 once-off fee, excluding shipping. All you need to do is contact support@petroclub.co.za and provide your membership number.
A: Yes, there are no restrictions on membership. Ask us about our different offerings for businesses and fleets!
A: It’s like loading funds in your prepaid electricity meter. Except there is no loadshedding involved! Transfer funds into your “Petro Club Bank Account” using your unique membership number. Please give it 1-3 days to reflect, depending on which bank you transfer funds from.
A: Petro Club wants to pass the maximum savings to our members without deducting any hidden fees. If you aren't aware, the seller is charged a percentage fee (typically a high one) for every transaction whenever you use your Credit Card. The problem with this is we would have to recover this fee from you in some shape or form – which would compromise the rewards you can earn.
A: You can check your latest Petro Club balance online or on your Mobile App. Additional channels like USSD & WhatsApp will be made available in future.
A: If there were a "Frequent Filler" club in the fuel world, we'd be the president showering our members with savings and rewards! With Petro Club, your sidekick in the battle against hair-pulling fuel prices, you will laugh your way to rewards. Our diesel members get up to R1.50 back per litre – and offer petrol users a rainfall of points with up to 10-30 cents back per litre at every fill-up. It's the reward system that makes your car want to purr in delight, and your wallet do a happy dance.
A: Payment convenience is a key aspect of Petro Club. As a member, you can go to any participating Petro Club service station and use your Smart Tag and secure Pin to refuel. Some service stations like BP will request to check and pre-authorise available funds on your Smart Tag before dispensing fuel. Others will refuel your vehicle like usual and then ask for payment. We suggest you always mention to your attendant that you will be using the Petro Club Smart Tag to refuel BEFORE refuelling so your attendant can follow the correct fuelling process.
A: You can refuel at any participating service station. The best way to find them is to check your Mobile App to find the garage closest to you. But don't get too comfortable. We constantly add additional partners to our network, so check back regularly. And if you forget to check, don't worry. We will send you a notification as we sign up new partner locations.
A: We aim to be as transparent as possible – think clingwrap transparent – so there are no surprises! Remember, Diesel prices aren’t regulated in South Africa, and individual dealers set these prices. This means we can't confirm the price you will pay upfront. However, based on our data, you should expect to save up to R1 to R1.50 per litre, depending on the location. As for petrol, the discount on petrol is fixed between 10-30 cents per litre, depending on the location.
A: We are an equal opportunity loyalty provider! No, really, Petro Club caters to both B2C and B2B customers. Our B2C, or consumer customers, can enjoy a full range of prepaid options. In comparison, our B2B or business customers can take advantage of various post-paid account options. So, regardless of if your fleet has 2-25 vehicles or if you are a large fleet with 25+ vehicles – everyone can benefit from Petro Club's offerings.

A: Yes. The Smart Tag is a tamper-evident sticker registered to a specific vehicle's windshield. To refuel, the attendant scans the tag AND the driver enters their PIN — both the vehicle and driver must be physically present at the pump. Ghost fills and card sharing are not possible.
Treat your driver PIN like your bank card PIN — never share it.
PetroClub is built on Payment24's enterprise-grade platform, which powers secure fuel, fleet, and loyalty solutions for some of the world's leading brands. The platform is developed in-house from the ground up and is compliant with all major banking and switching security protocols.

A: No. It's not in our best interests to sell the information of our customers. Should you be contacted by us, you will always be allowed to opt-out. We will also endeavor to only contact you with your rewards and account information!
A: Fear not! We have got you covered. You can order a new Smart Tag for a R75 once-off fee excluding shipping, by contacting support@petroclub.co.za. You will need to provide us with your unique membership number so we can ensure you are who you say you are!
A: Yes. Your business account supports unlimited vehicles. Each vehicle gets its own Smart Tag and PIN. You manage all vehicles from a single dashboard with per-vehicle spend reporting.
A: Yes. You can configure real-time spend limits per vehicle, per day, or per transaction. Drivers cannot exceed their authorised limit.
A: Any of our 2000+ participating stations across South Africa, covering all major international fuel brands. Your drivers can locate the nearest station on the PetroClub mobile app.
A: Log into your business dashboard and add or deactivate vehicles instantly. Tags can be reissued or deactivated in real time.
A: No. PetroClub runs on an annual subscription model at R99 per vehicle per year. You are not locked into a long-term contract.
A: Yes. All transactions and annual fees generate a valid tax invoice for your business records.
A: Contact support@petroclub.co.za. We deactivate the lost tag immediately and issue a replacement for R75 (shipping excluded).
